the secrets of ancient Medievia. Restless at heart, I started my misadventures
at the age of 17, traveling further and further away from the city of Medievia as the
years and my experience gained. I always carefully jotted down every detail of what i learned, so that one day my
tales would be available for all who seek it. But time goes on, and as the years of my youth end, I may one day have
to settle down; therefore, if you have a story or useful information that you would like to pass on, I'd be very happy
to include your contribution to my tomes. I can usually be found exploring Medievia, but if not you can send a letter
and my clerk will make sure I get it.
Lafay, the Harvester of Sorrow
The 33rd Day of the Month of the Scorpion, Year 498.
Lafay - the myth, the legend
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.revelation 6:1-8
n outlaw with long black curly hair, green eyes and a wicked smile is your
first(and maybe your last) impression of Lafay. He wears a big red pirate hat, a
deep crimson red robe, a white embroidered shirt, leather pants
and dagger boots.
Lafay's whole torso is covered in ancient and mystical looking tattoos, rumor has it that they are magical in nature as they have decorated him since the date of his birth. Connections have also been drawn to the fact that he was born the 7'th son of a 7'th son. A blessing or a curse, only the gods know.
He seems very friendly and chatty, but his wicked smile and cold eyes, makes this a man not to be trusted. Lies and deceit is his middle name, yet he follows some code of honor; he never(well usually doesn't) steal from the poor and the weak, unless its for a greater cause(like getting gold for a mug of ale or two). He values friendship very strongly, and will usually help if you ask nicely
Lafay can often be found in different taverns chatting, smoking his pipe, drinking ale, and daydreaming back to those days when he and his companions plundered and pillaged the eastern coast as savage pirates.
A man above the law is how he seems himself, not everybody shares his point of view on this matter though, and therefore he is constantly being hunted by bounty hunters and lawmen.
Some of his drawbacks are: he is quite easily affected by flattery, consumes too much ale, and even though he is now a wealthy man, he steals whenever and whatever he can out of old habit. He can also have a bad temper, and a lady's grace can easily make him foolish and blind. He is also knows for his terrible poetry, which is rumored to drive men insane. But few of those that dared criticized his poetry are alive to tell the tale.
Lafay was born in a village called Hobb's end near the infamous Pirate Ship. Both his parents died tragically of the red plague when he was 12, so he was raised as one of the pirate crew members, starting as cabin boy and as the years went by his rank was raised to Captain of the Ship. He is a member of the infamous Order of Eternal Champions clan(19).
Even though some/most of his deeds are ruthless, i believe he is good at heart, however how much he tries to hide and deny it.
